Raul Hernandez Hurt, Another Driver Killed in Ceres Traffic Accident

 
CERES, CA (June 1, 2020) — A 65-year-old woman from Turlock died and Raul Soto Hernandez, 53, of Modesto, was injured in a crash on Saturday, May 30.
 
According to Officer Freddie Ortiz, the S10 traveled east on Hatch Road. The Silverado was traveling north on Central Avenue, making a left turn onto Hatch. The two trucks collided in the middle of the intersection.
 
Ortiz said that after the 6:47 a.m, officers arrived at the scene at Hatch Road and Central Avenue.
 
Officials discovered two pickup trucks, a 1994 black and silver Chevrolet S10 and a 2003 black Chevrolet Silverado, had crashed in the intersection.
 
Ortiz said that the female driver of the S10 died at the scene. The male driver of the Silverado, identified as Raul Soto Hernandez was rushed to a hospital in Modesto. There were no passengers in both vehicles.
 
The name of the deceased was not yet released pending family notification.
 
Drugs and-or alcohol did not appear to have contributed to the incident. Police continue to investigate the reason behind the collision, Ortiz stated.
