One Hurt after Glendale Pedestrian Accident on 59th Avenue

 
GLENDALE, AZ (May 29, 2020) — One person suffered serious injuries in a pedestrian accident on 59th Avenue in Glendale on Thursday, May 28.
 
According to the Glendale Police Department, officers rushed to the pedestrian-involved crash shortly after 2:00 a.m. Police stated that a car drove northbound on 59th Avenue and struck the pedestrian, who was in the roadway north of Northern Avenue.
 
Medics rushed the pedestrian, who officials only described as a man, to a local hospital with major life-threatening injuries.
 
The driver, described as a woman, remained at the scene and cooperated.
 
Police said impairment did not play a role in the driver’s part. Vehicular crime detectives are still investigating the collision.
 
Authorities closed 59th Avenue in both directions from Northern to Olive avenues. They reopened it around 6:00 a.m.
