Minor Injuries Reported after Two-Car Crash on Highway 178

 
BAKERSFIELD, CA (May 27, 2020) – Minor injuries were sustained in a two-car crash on Highway 178, Wednesday morning.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened at about 8:15 AM. Due to unknown circumstances, two vehicles collided near Kern River Canyon Road. As a result of the crash, one of the vehicles went down in the ravine but did not reach the water.
 
As per reports, one person sustained minor injuries in the crash. However, it is unknown whether or not the victim needed hospitalization.
 
Responding crews moved one of the wrecked vehicles that was blocking the road.
 
CHP continues to investigate the cause of the crash. Authorities will release additional information once it becomes available.
