Sky Harris Arrested, Carlos Vigil Involved in Murphys DUI Collision on Highway 4

 
MURPHYS, CA (April 20, 2020) — The authorities arrested a 38-year-old male driver following a crash on Highway 4 near Northwood Drive in Murphys Thursday night.
 
The California Highway Patrol said the crash took place at about 6:35 p.m.
 
38-year-old Sky Harris of Murphys was driving a Subaru on Highway 4. He was trying to make a left turn off the highway when he collided with an oncoming minivan.
 
The driver of the minivan, 32-year-old Carlos Vigil of Arnold, did not report any injuries. However, his four juvenile passengers sustained minor and major injuries. First responders transported two of them to UC Davis and one to Adventist Health Sonora. The other juvenile did not require medical transport.
 
Meanwhile, Harris suffered minor injuries. The CHP found that he was driving under the influence and arrested him. The officers subsequently booked Harris into the Calaveras County Jail.
 
Further details about the crash and Harris’ arrest were not released. The investigation is ongoing.
