36-Year-Old Douglas Nelson Arrested after Pedestrian Crash in Wofford Heights
WOFFORD HEIGHTS, CA (February 12, 2020) – Authorities identified 36-year-old Douglas Nelson of Wofford Heights as the man arrested following a pedestrian crash, Wednesday morning.
According to the Kern County Sheriff’s Office, the incident happened at about 8:00 AM. Due to unknown reasons, Nelson tried to run over a man with his car in the 6500 block of Wofford Boulevard.
Emergency responders rushed the victim to a local hospital with moderate to major injuries. Updates on the victim’s current condition remain undisclosed.
Meanwhile, deputies arrested Nelson in the 8000 block of Deerbrush Avenue in South Lake. Officials later booked the suspect for attempted murder. Authorities will release additional information once it becomes available.
