Pedestrian Dies after Crash at McFadden Avenue and Beach Boulevard

 
WESTMINSTER, CA (February 9, 2020) – A woman died in a pedestrian crash on McFadden Avenue, Sunday evening.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened at about 7:00 PM. The pedestrian attempted to cross the street when a northbound vehicle struck her near Beach Boulevard.
 
Firefighter paramedics attempted life-saving measures but the victim succumbed to injuries. Authorities withheld the identity of the victim, pending notification of next of kin. Meanwhile, the driver of the vehicle remained and cooperated with investigators.
 
CHP officers ruled out alcohol and drugs as factors in the fatal crash. Investigators will release additional information once it becomes available.
