OROVILLE, CA (February 11, 2020) — A man suffered moderate injuries in a pedestrian accident on Veatch Street on Friday, February 7.
 
At around 11:44 a.m. Friday, a man, whose name was unavailable, was crossing Veatch Street at Mitchell Avenue. Then a Ford Focus driving northbound struck him, Oroville Police Department Officer Breck Wright said.
 
According to Wright, paramedics arrived and had to remove the pedestrian from the hood of the car. They transported the man to the Oroville Hospital with minor injuries.
 
Police are still investigating the incident but there had been no arrest made at the scene. Wright said neither drugs nor alcohol are believed to have contributed to the collision.
