According to the San Francisco Police Department, at about 3:15 a.m., they received reports of the crash on 19th Avenue and Junipero Serra Boulevard.
 
Investigators stated that a red Toyota Prius traveled southbound on 19th Avenue when it struck an adult man.
 
Police said that medics rushed the man to Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital. He remains in life-threatening condition.
 
Authorities said the driver remained at the scene.
