Pedestrian Collision on Grand Avenue Injures 65-Year-Old Man in San Diego
SAN DIEGO, CA (February 10, 2020) — A 65-year-old man suffered injuries in a pedestrian accident on Grand Avenue in Pacific Beach Thursday night.
According to the San Diego police, the incident occurred at around 7 p.m. at 2000 Grand Avenue. The pedestrian was walking on the south sidewalk when he walked into the path of an eastbound 1998 Honda Accord. The vehicle was in the eastbound number 2 lane at the time of the crash as per the officers.
After the hit, the pedestrian bounced on the Honda’s windshield. He was rushed to the hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries, including a fractured pelvis and a fractured right femur.
Meantime, the 17-year-old driver of the Honda remained at the scene. The police ruled out alcohol as a factor in the crash.
