PHELAN, CA (February 10, 2020) — A pedestrian suffered severe injuries Thursday night in an accident on Phelan Road and Sheep Creek Road.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened at 8:10 p.m. A 2015 BMW hit the pedestrian, police stated.
 
The responding firefighters of San Bernardino County requested a helicopter to airlift the pedestrian due to life-threatening injuries.
 
Crews set up a landing zone in a field at Stater Brother’s shopping center. After that, Mercy 22 helicopter transported the patient to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center.
 
Meantime, the cause and the events leading up to the collision remain under investigation by the CHP.
