2 Hospitalized after Two-Car Crash on Yale near Irvine Center Drive
IRVINE, CA (February 8, 2020) – Two people suffered injuries in a two-car crash on Yale, late Saturday evening.
According to the Irvine Police Department, the incident happened shortly before midnight. An eastbound patrol SUV, with lights and sirens on, attempted to enter the intersection from Irvine Center Drive. There, the patrol SUV hit the left side of a northbound Toyota Prius.
Emergency responders rushed the 25-year-old officer and a 59-year-old man to Orange County Global Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries. Updates on their current conditions remain undisclosed.
Authorities continue to investigate the cause of the crash. The CHP’s Santa Ana office asked witnesses to call (714) 567-6000 as soon as possible. Investigators will release additional information once it becomes available.
