Pedestrian Fatally Injured, Suspect Arrested in Los Angeles Hit-and-Run Crash Glenoaks Boulevard

 
LOS ANGELES, CA (February 7, 2020) – Police arrested a suspect after a fatal hit-and-run crash on Glenoaks Boulevard on Thursday, February 6.
 
Los Angeles Police Department Officer Jeff Lee said that the collision happened at around 8:15 p.m. at Glenoaks Boulevard and Desmond Street.
 
A man was crossing within an unmarked crosswalk when a red or burgundy newer-model SUV struck him. The pedestrian succumbed to his fatal injuries at the scene, LAPD Capt. Andrew Neiman said.
 
The suspect vehicle was last seen getting onto the eastbound 118 Freeway, police officials stated.
 
A Good Samaritan followed the car and got the license plate, Neiman stated. The possible suspect vehicle sustained damage consistent with the incident, he added.
 
LAPD Capt. Marc Reyna announced via social media that they have found the vehicle had involved and arrested the suspect.
