CAMP PENDLETON, CA (February 5, 2020) – A driver suffered injuries in a rollover crash on 5 Freeway, Wednesday morning.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened shortly before 8:55 AM. Due to unknown reasons, a vehicle struck a guardrail and a pole. The impact of the crash caused the vehicle to roll over near the Santa Margarita River.
 
A medical helicopter airlifted the driver to Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla for treatment of unspecified injuries. Updates on the victim’s current condition remain undisclosed.
 
CHP officers continue to investigate the cause of the crash. Authorities will release additional information once it becomes available.
