Pedestrian in Critical Condition after Crash on Northwest Lakeshore Drive

 
WOODLAND, WA (February 2, 2020) – A man suffered injuries in a pedestrian crash on Northwest Lakeshore Drive, Sunday evening.
 
According to the Clark County Sheriff’s Office, the incident happened at about 7:35 PM. Due to unknown reasons, the pedestrian stepped into the path of a vehicle. Then, the vehicle hit the man near Horseshoe Lake.
 
Emergency responders rushed the pedestrian to an area hospital, where he remains in critical condition. Meanwhile, the driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
 
The sheriff’s office is still trying to identify the pedestrian. Deputies describe him as a man between 18 to 24 years old and about 6 feet 2 inches tall. He has a slender build with medium length brown hair. In addition, he was carrying a black backpack with skateboard parts inside.
 
Deputies continue to investigate the cause of the crash. Authorities will release additional information once it becomes available.
