Vincent Williams Arrested in Highland Fatal DUI Pedestrian Crash

 
HIGHLAND, CA (February 5, 2020) – Authorities arrested Vincent Williams, 28, of San Bernardino, after a fatal DUI crash on Saturday, February 1.
 
California Highway Patrol said that Williams drove a 2016 white Lexus at around 1:23 a.m. Saturday, when he struck a pedestrian.
 
He drove at about 70 miles per hour, westbound on the 210 Freeway, east of Highland Avenue, according to officials.
 
Due to the time of the incident and the pedestrian’s dark clothing, the Lexus struck the pedestrian. The victim died at the scene, CHP officials stated.
 
Authorities arrested Williams on suspicion of driving under the influence.
 
The identity of the pedestrian is not yet released pending identification and notification to his family.
