Jesse Esparza Arrested Following Santa Rosa DUI Collision

 
SANTA ROSA, CA (February 05, 2020) — The Santa Rosa police arrested 69-year-old Jesse Esparza of Sonoma following a DUI crash on Sunday night.
 
The crash happened at approximately 8:45 p.m. Esparza drove a silver Nissan sedan and reportedly crossed over Montgomery Drive near Spring Lake. The vehicle drifted into oncoming traffic and then collided head-on with a westbound black Honda.
 
The force of the crash pushed the Honda backward into a ravine. Emergency personnel extricated the trapped driver from the vehicle. They subsequently transported the driver to the hospital with minor injuries.
 
Esparza did not report any injuries. However, he showed signs of alcohol intoxication according to the officers. They arrested him on suspicion of driving under the influence and causing an injury.
