SANTA ROSA, CA (February 4, 2020) – A pedestrian was struck and injured by a van on Guerneville Road near Santa Rosa’s Coddingtown Mall.
 
According to the police, the accident occurred on Guerneville Road near Cleveland Avenue just before 9:30 p.m. on Friday, January 31.
 
The man was crossing Guerneville Road when he went into the westbound lanes and jumped in front of the van, Sgt. Brandon Matthies stated.
 
He was not near the crosswalk, reports said.
 
The impact of the crash left the pedestrian with major head injuries, police stated. According to reports, he remained in serious but stable condition at an area hospital as of Saturday night. His identity was not released.
 
The collision happened outside the Men’s Wearhouse store. The accident shut down Guerneville Road for almost an hour.
