Highway 99 Reduced to Two Lanes after Multi-Vehicle Collision near California Avenue
BAKERSFIELD, CA (January 31, 2020) – Motorists experienced heavy traffic flow following a multi-vehicle collision on Highway 99, Friday.
According to the California Department of Transportation, multiple vehicles collided on southbound Highway 99. As a result, the department reduced Highway 99 to two lanes starting at California Avenue.
It is unknown whether or not injuries were sustained in the collision. Crews arrived and cleaned up the area, causing extended delays to motorists.
The department continues to investigate the cause of the crash. Authorities will release additional information once it becomes available.
