Driver Dies After Vehicle Collides with Amtrak Train in Oakland

 
OAKLAND, CA (January 31, 2020) — A male driver died after his vehicle collides with a train near 29th Avenue and East 12th Street Wednesday night.
 
The authorities said reports about the crash came in at approximately 9 p.m. When the officers arrived at the scene, they found a vehicle several yards away from the intersection.
 
The fire officials said the man was the sole occupant of the vehicle that collided with an Amtrak train. Firefighters used the Jaws of Life to free him. However, died at the scene.
 
The police closed northbound 29th Avenue and southbound East 12th Street to conduct their investigation.
