Juan De La Rosa Fatally Struck by Vehicle in Riverside

 
RIVERSIDE, CA (January 31, 2020) — A 32-year-old man suffered fatal injuries after being hit by a car in Riverside Tuesday morning.
 
The Riverside County Coroner’s Office has identified the man as Juan De La Rosa of Moreno Valley.
 
The authorities said a 2016 Honda Accord hit De La Rosa at about 5:47 a.m. at the intersection of Sycamore Canyon Boulevard and Eastridge Avenue. He crossed the road on foot at the time.
 
Emergency personnel transported De La Rosa to Riverside University Health System Medical Center. However, he died at the hospital at 6:26 a.m.
 
Reports indicated that the 36-year-old Hesperia resident driving the Honda had a green light when the crash occurred. However, the police were conducting further investigation. As a result, they urged anyone with information to contact traffic Detective Jeffrey Derouin at 951-826-8722.
