70-Year-Old Kathryn Anne Delling Hit and Killed by Vehicle in Las Vegas

 
LAS VEGAS, NV (January 24, 2020) – Authorities identified 70-year-old Kathryn Anne Delling of Las Vegas as the pedestrian killed in a crash on East Flamingo Road, Friday evening.
 
According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, the incident happened at about 6:20 PM. A 2019 Ford transit van attempted to turn from southbound Swenson Street onto eastbound Flamingo Road on a green arrow.
 
At the same time, Delling, who was using a walker, entered the intersection against a “don’t walk” sign. Then, the left front bumper of the van struck the left side of the pedestrian. The impact of the collision knocked Delling down.
 
Emergency responders rushed Delling to Sunrise Trauma Hospital, where she later died from her injuries. Meanwhile, the driver of the van remained and cooperated with investigators.
 
Officers continue to investigate the cause of the crash. Authorities will release additional information once it becomes available.
