20-Year-Old Woman Arrested, Another Injured after Car Crashed into San Diego Bay

 
CHULA VISTA, CA (January 29, 2020) – Officials arrested a woman on suspicion of DUI after a car crashed into San Diego Bay near the Chula Vista Harbor.
 
Officials received several calls about the incident just before 9:20 p.m. on Monday, January 27. A white four-door sedan crashed into the water near the docks of Marina Parkway, Chula Vista police Lt. Gino Grippo stated.
 
Officers rushed to the scene. After that, they discovered that the car’s two occupants were already out of the car and back on land.
 
Officials arrested the driver, a 20-year-old woman, on suspicion of DUI, Grippo said. Her identity was not immediately released.
 
They took the other person to the hospital for treatment.
 
San Diego Harbor Police officers responded to the scene to help Chula Vista officers get the Chevrolet Sonic sedan back on land.
