Guadalupe Arrez Fatally Struck by Car on Ramon Road

 
CATHEDRAL CITY, CA (January 29, 2020) – 44-year-old Guadalupe Arrez of Cathedral City died at 7:50 p.m. after a pedestrian accident on Monday, January 27.
 
The crash happened on Ramon Road, between Sky Blue Water Trail and Avenida El Mundo. Around 7:40 p.m., Cathedral City police rushed to the area after receiving reports of a pedestrian that had been struck by a vehicle.
 
Investigators found out that Arrez moved north across Ramon Road. Then a sedan in the westbound lanes struck him, according to police.
 
The driver stayed and cooperated with investigators. It did not appear speed, drugs or alcohol contributed to the collision. There were no reports of arrests.
 
Police closed the road until about 1 a.m. Tuesday during the investigation of the incident.
