LAKEWOOD, CA (January 25, 2020) – A person was killed in a two-vehicle crash on Del Amo Boulevard, Saturday evening.
 
According to the Los Angeles County Fire Department, the incident happened at about 11:12 PM. Witnesses claim that a vehicle traveled eastbound at least 80 miles per hour and ran a red light. Then, it collided with another vehicle near Paramount Boulevard.
 
Emergency responders pronounced one person dead at the scene. Authorities withheld the identity of the victim, pending notification of next of kin. Meanwhile, another victim sustained critical injuries in the collision.
 
Officers continue to investigate the cause of the fatal crash. Authorities will release additional information once it becomes available.
