Isaac Lazaro Dead, Woman Hurt after Car Crashed into Home

 
TUSTIN, CA (January 27, 2020) — Isaac Hernandez Lazaro, 20, died and his female passenger, 17, sustained injuries after his car crashed into a home.
 
According to Tustin Police Lt. Andrew Birozy, the incident occurred around 2:24 a.m. on Saturday, January 25, in the 13000 block of Iroquois.
 
Responding officers discovered a man and teen inside the vehicle. Lazaro died at the scene, police stated. He did not wear a seatbelt, they said.
 
Paramedics rushed the girl who was injured to a hospital, Birozy stated. She wore a seatbelt, according to officers.
 
Police said that the driver moved eastbound on San Juan Street at a high rate of speed. Then the vehicle went through the intersection at Browning Avenue. After that, it crashed through a cinder block wall and then into the house, Birozy said. Investigators believe that drugs and/or alcohol may have been a factor in the collision.
 
The owners of the house were home at the time of the incident. Several people inside the home sustained minor injuries from flying debris. Yet, none of those injured were taken to the hospital.
 
The home’s owner Tito Perez told a local news source that his daughter had some friends over for a sleepover. They all escaped serious injury, he added.
