David Kim Jr. Identified as Man Killed in Long Beach Multi-Car Crash on 91 Freeway

 
LONG BEACH, CA (January 21, 2020) – Authorities identified 21-year-old David Kim Jr. as the man killed in a multi-vehicle crash on 91 Freeway, Tuesday evening.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened at about 10:45 PM. A 1998 Honda CR-V, driven by the victim, collided with another vehicle on 91 Freeway. Then, Kim exited his vehicle to move it off the freeway.
 
A short time later, two other vehicles struck the Honda. The impact pushed the disabled vehicle, causing it to hit Kim near Paramount Boulevard.
 
Emergency responders rushed Kim to a local hospital, where he later died. Meanwhile, one of the other drivers suffered minor injuries in the collision.
 
CHP officers continue to investigate the cause of the fatal crash. Investigators encourage witnesses to cooperate and reach out as soon as possible. Authorities will release additional information once it becomes available.
