Boruch Pinkhasov Fatally Struck by Pickup Truck on Bell Road [Phoenix, AZ]

72-Year-Old Boruch Pinkhasov Killed in Pedestrian Crash on Bell Road

 
PHOENIX, AZ (January 17, 2020) – Authorities identified 72-year-old Boruch Pinkhasov as the pedestrian hit and killed by a vehicle on Bell Street, Friday evening.
 
According to the Phoenix Police Department, the incident happened at about 6:00 PM. Pinkhasov attempted to cross Bell Road in a motorized wheelchair. There, a Dodge pickup truck hit him near 3rd Street.
 
Emergency responders rushed Pinkhasov to a local hospital, where he later died. Meanwhile, the 26-year-old pickup truck driver and her 2-year-old passenger did not sustain injuries.
 
Officers ruled out impairment and speed as factors in the fatal crash. They also observed that there were crosswalks and traffic signals in both directions of where the crash occurred. Authorities will release additional information once it becomes available.
