57-Year-Old Man Injured after Car Crashes into SPD Patrol SUV on 3rd Avenue

 
SEATTLE, WA (January 21, 2020) – A man suffered injuries after a car collided with an SPD Patrol SUV on 3rd Avenue, Tuesday afternoon.
 
According to the Seattle Fire Department, the incident happened at about 10:00 PM. Due to unknown circumstances, a Toyota hybrid collided with a Seattle Police SUV at 3rd Avenue and Stewart Street. The impact of the collision sent the SPD SUV up onto a curb, where it hit a street sign and a rental car agency.
 
Emergency responders treated the 57-year-old driver at the scene for minor injuries. Meanwhile, the SPD officer did not sustain injuries in the crash.
