Major Injuries Sustained in Rancho Cucamonga Rollover Crash on Santa Anita Avenue
RANCHO CUCAMONGA, CA (January 21, 2020) — Two people suffered injuries in a rollover car crash on Santa Anita Avenue on Friday, January 17.
According to the authorities, the solo-vehicle crash happened at about 3:30 p.m. at 9600 Santa Anita Avenue.
The witnesses said a gray Hyundai Genesis Coupe drove northbound on Santa Anita Avenue when its driver appeared to have lost control of the vehicle. It hit the curb and trees, rolled over, and then rested on its wheels.
Firefighters had to extricate one man trapped in the car and then airlifted him to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center with major injuries.
An ambulance transported a second person to a local hospital with minor injuries.
Meantime, it was still unknown whether speed was a factor in the crash. The Rancho Cucamonga P.D. is handling the investigation.
