Justin Wilkinson Dead after Fairfield Motorcycle Crash on Waterman Boulevard

 
FAIRFIELD, CA (January 21, 2020) – A man identified as Justin Wilkinson, 30, of Fairfield, died in a motorcycle crash on Waterman Boulevard.
 
Around 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 19, Fairfield’s Dispatch Center started receiving calls of a crash between a motorcycle and SUV. They rushed on Waterman Boulevard over 80 Freeway at the eastbound offramp intersection. Police, fire and medical personnel discovered Wilkinson down on the roadway with serious injuries.
 
Medics transported Wilkinson to a local hospital where he succumbed from his injuries.
 
According to the police, the driver and sole occupant of the other vehicle, a 63-year-old male Fairfield resident, stayed at the scene. They cooperated with the investigation.
 
Officials have not yet determined if drugs and alcohol played a role in the crash. The Fairfield Police Department’s Traffic Unit is still investigating the incident.
 
Police shut down Waterman from Hillborn Road to the Air Base Parkway/Heath Drive intersection for several hours.
