42-Year-Old Woman Killed in Hit-and-Run Crash on Grand Avenue [Oakland, CA]

Woman Fatally Injured after Oakland Hit-and-Run Crash on Grand Avenue

 
OAKLAND, CA (January 21, 2020) – An overnight hit-and-run crash on Grand Avenue left a woman dead in Oakland on Sunday, January 19.
 
According to officials, the crash occurred around 1:30 a.m. on Grand Avenue and MacArthur Boulevard. Two vehicles were involved in the collision.
 
When officers arrived at the scene, they found a 2014 Audi A4 moving southbound Grand Avenue, approaching MacArthur Boulevard. Then the Audi struck a 2002 Subaru Outback vehicle which moves eastbound MacArthur Boulevard.
 
Oakland Fire Department gave medical treatment to the driver of the Subaru. Then they transported her to a nearby hospital where she later died from her injuries.
 
Police reported the driver of the Subaru as a 42-year-old woman who is a resident in Oakland.
 
Officials describe the driver of the Audi as a male subject together with two other males who fled the scene.
 
At this moment, the incident is still under investigation. There are no reports yet if alcohol or drugs are a factor.
