4 Injured in Crash near Herndon Avenue and Maple Avenue [Fresno, CA]

3 Medics, 1 Patient Hurt in Fresno Multi-Vehicle Crash near Herndon Avenue

 
FRESNO, CA (January 20, 2020) — Three paramedics and one patient suffered injuries in a crash near Herndon Avenue and Maple Avenue Thursday night.
 
The Fresno police said the incident happened at about 10 p.m. Involved were an ambulance and two cars.
 
Based on an investigation, the three vehicles collided while the American Ambulance was westbound on Herndon. At the same time, another car was eastbound on the same road, while a third vehicle made a turn onto Maple Avenue.
 
As a result, the ambulance overturned on its side. It went up onto the sidewalk and took out a traffic light.
 
Three paramedics suffered minor injuries. First responders took them to Community Regional Medical Center, while their patient was brought to Kaiser Permanente.
 
Meantime, a driver in another vehicle complained of back pain but not taken to a hospital.
