25-Year-Old Woman Dies in Merced Pedestrian Crash at Ashby Road
MERCED, CA (January 17, 2020) — A 25-year-old woman suffered fatal injuries in a pedestrian accident at Ashby Road and Fern Street early Thursday.
The California Highway Patrol said the accident happened at about 4:30 a.m.
According to the driver, he did not see the woman standing in the roadway. He said was going at about 35 miles per hour at the time of the crash.
The woman died at the scene. The investigators are yet to determine why she was on the road.
