60-Year-Old Clifford Vance Identified as Man Killed in Bakersfield Crash
BAKERSFIELD, CA (January 9, 2020) – Authorities identified 60-year-old Clifford Vance of Bakersfield as the man killed in a crash on Merle Haggard Drive, Thursday afternoon.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened at about 2:45 PM. Due to unknown circumstances, the victim’s Kia Soul collided with a Jeep Wrangler near Airport Drive.
Emergency responders rushed Vance to Kern Medical, where he died the next day. Meanwhile, it is unknown whether or not the Jeep driver sustained injuries in the crash.
CHP officers continue to investigate the cause of the fatal crash. Authorities will release additional information once it becomes available.
