Around 30 Cars Involved in Chain-Reaction Crash on Highway 520 Floating Bridge

 
BELLEVUE, WA (January 13, 2020) – Almost thirty vehicles were involved in a chain-reaction crash on Highway 520 floating bridge, Monday evening.
 
According to the Washington Department of Transportation, the incident happened at about 6:30 PM. Dozens of vehicles, including a Metro bus, became involved in multiple chain-reaction crashes on the east side of the bridge.
 
Despite the number of cars involved, the Washington State Patrol said that no one suffered major injuries. A Microsoft Connector bus stayed on the scene to help keep people warm.
 
WSP troopers believe that icy roads played a role in the collision, noting that temperatures were below freezing. Authorities will release additional information once it becomes available.
