Justin Kyte and Isaac Culkin Dead after Lakeside Pickup Truck Accident

 
LAKESIDE, CA (January 16, 2020) – Two 16-year-old boys from El Cajon identified as Justin Kyte and Isaac Culkin died after a crash on Saturday, December 11.
 
At about 10:45 p.m., Kyte drove a pickup truck with three other 16-year-olds westbound on Willow Road, east of Ashwood Street. After that, he appeared to be speeding when he lost control of his vehicle, CHP said. As a result, the 2003 Chevrolet Silverado went off the road and struck a tree.
 
Kyte died at the scene.
 
Paramedics transported the boy in the front passenger seat, Culkin, to Sharp Memorial Hospital with serious head injuries. However, he is now on life support. A friend stated that his organs will be donated. A GoFundMe page is set up for to help his family for the funeral expenses.
 
In addition, medics rushed the two backseat passengers, a boy and a girl from Lakeside, to the hospital. As a result, they received treatments for moderate injuries, CHP stated.
 
Investigators believe only the front and right rear passengers wore their seatbelts during the collision. However, it is not yet determined whether impairment played a role in the crash.
 
Friends and family gathered at the scene of the accident Tuesday to pay their respects.
