LAS VEGAS, NV (January 14, 2020) — A 73-year-old man suffered fatal injuries in a pedestrian accident on Pecos Road Wednesday night.
 
The Metropolitan Police Department said the crash occurred at around 6:00 p.m. south of Tropicana Avenue.
 
A 38-year-old man was driving a 2007 BMW 3 Series southbound on Pecos Road when he hit the pedestrian. Based on initial findings, the man was attempting to cross the road outside a crosswalk.
 
Emergency crews took the 73-year-old man to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center with critical injuries. He died at the hospital. The Clark County coroner’s office has not released his name pending notification of his family.
 
Meantime, the man driving the BMW remained at the scene. He did not show signs of impairment according to the police.
