Dylan Schuster Fatally Injured after Oceanside Bicycle Accident on Daly Boulevard

 
OCEANSIDE, NY (January 15, 2020) – Nassau County Police have identified the teen killed in a bicycle accident as 14-year-old Dylan Schuster of Oceanside.
 
According to police, at around 5:08 p.m. the 14-year-old boy was on his bicycle crossing Daly Boulevard near Long Beach Road. Then a 2020 Chevrolet Equinox struck him.
 
The boy sustained multiple injuries. Medics rushed him by ambulance to a nearby hospital, where he died at around 6:21 p.m. on Sunday, January 12.
 
Oceanside School District said Dylan was a ninth-grade student at Oceanside High School.
 
Authorities said that the driver of the vehicle stayed at the scene. Officials conducted a brake and safety check.
 
Police say they are still investigating the incident.
