SANTA CLARITA, CA (January 15, 2020) – A child sustained injuries in a hit-and-run accident on Whites Canyon Road on Tuesday, January 14.
 
The incident happened near the intersection of Whites Canyon Road and Stillmore Street in Canyon Country.
 
Los Angeles County Fire Department spokeswoman Leslie Lua said that at about 1:33 p.m., officers received a report of the crash. Santa Clarita officers responded to the scene near Sierra Vista Junior High School.
 
There are no reports that someone has been transported but they did request an ambulance.
 
Lt. James Royal of the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station confirmed the victim was a child. They handled the crash as a hit-and-run incident.
 
Authorities describe the vehicle suspected of hitting the child as a gold Toyota Tundra.
