Charles Oliver Hospitalized, Other Driver Killed in Tulare Crash on Avenue 256
TULARE, CA (January 14, 2020) — A 24-year-old driver died while another person suffered injuries in a crash on Avenue 256 at Road 108 Monday afternoon.
Two cars collided in the area at approximately 4:00 p.m. according to the California Highway Patrol. The 24-year-old driver was westbound in a 2002 Chevrolet on Avenue 256 and stopped at the intersection at Road 108. At the same time, a 1999 Ford approached from the south.
The driver of the Chevrolet then entered the intersection, causing the Ford to crash into the Chevy.
The 24-year-old driver of the Chevy died at the hospital. Meantime, the Ford driver, 69-year-old Charles Oliver, was taken to Kaweah Delta Medical Center for minor injuries.
The officers did not believe drugs or alcohol were a factor in the crash. However, the investigation continues.
