Train Collision near Fruitvale Avenue and Snow Road in Northwest Bakersfield
BAKERSFIELD, CA (January 12, 2020) – A vehicle sustained damages in a train collision near Fruitvale Avenue, Sunday evening.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened at about 10:33 PM. Due to unknown circumstances, a vehicle and a train collided outside of a railroad crossing near Snow Road.
It is unclear whether or not anyone was in the vehicle at the time of the incident. Authorities also did not disclose if anyone suffered injuries in the crash.
CHP officers continue to investigate the cause of the collision. Officials will release additional information once it becomes available.
