Pedestrian Fatally Struck by Vehicle on 405 Freeway
LOS ANGELES, CA (January 14, 2020) – A pedestrian was fatally struck by a vehicle on northbound 405 Freeway in Los Angeles on Sunday, January 12.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened near Venice Boulevard about 7:35 p.m. However, the circumstances that caused and transpired during the collision are not yet immediately available.
CHP Officer Tony Polizzi said that the description of the pedestrian was a Caucasian man in his 50s. Officials have not yet released his name and city of residence pending notification of his loved ones.
The vehicle involved remained at the scene, according to CHP reports.
At 8:16 p.m., the CHP issued a SigAlert for the lanes No. 1, 2, 3 and 4 just south of Venice Boulevard. They reopened lanes No. 3, 4 and 5 at about 9:37 p.m.
