Vehicle Fatally Hits Ruperto Baiza in Menifee
MENIFEE, CA (January 10, 2020) — A pedestrian, Ruperto Baiza, suffered fatal injuries in a pedestrian accident on Highway 74 Tuesday night.
The Riverside County Sheriff-Coroner’s Office said a vehicle struck the 27-year-old Baiza of Romoland on eastbound Highway 74, west of McKinley Road, at about 8:08 p.m. As a result, he died at the scene.
Meanwhile, the driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the law enforcers.
The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department said drugs and/or alcohol do not appear to be factors in the crash. However, further investigation is underway.
