Robert Alaniz Fatally Struck by Car on McKinley Street [Corona, CA]

66-Year-Old Robert Alaniz Killed in Pedestrian Crash on McKinley Street

 
CORONA, CA (January 9, 2020) – Authorities identified 66-year-old Robert Alaniz as the victim killed in a pedestrian crash on McKinley Street, Thursday evening.
 
According to the Corona Police Department, the incident happened at about 10:00 PM. A pedestrian was walking east along Estelle Street near the crosswalk on the south side of the intersection. There, a vehicle struck Alaniz.
 
Emergency responders pronounced Alaniz dead at the scene at 10:30 PM. Meanwhile, the driver of the vehicle remained and cooperated with investigators.
 
Corona police continue to investigate the cause of the fatal crash, and no arrests were made. Authorities will release additional information once it becomes available.
