SACRAMENTO, CA (January 13, 2020) — A person suffered critical injuries after a hit by a train near Arden Way and Del Paso Boulevard Thursday night.
 
According to the Sacramento Fire officials, a Sac RT light-rail train struck the victim. As a result, the person ended up pinned under the train. Emergency personnel transported the pedestrian to an area hospital.
 
Meantime, Sac RT put a bus bridge in place from Alkali Flats to Marconi Avenue on the Blue Line due to the incident.
 
Just like the open road, train tracks can be very dangerous to be around. It is important to abide by all railroad crossings and to never enter train tracks when an oncoming train is approaching. If for some reason an issue occurs near train tracks, be sure to contact authorities to assist.
