Octavio Giron Dead after San Bernardino Pedestrian Crash

 
SAN BERNARDINO, CA (January 12, 2020) – A 28-year-old San Bernardino resident identified as Octavio Giron died in a pedestrian crash on Tuesday, January 7.
 
Shortly before 6 p.m., Giron walked into traffic on Mount Vernon Avenue near Belleview Street. Then a Honda Civic being driven by a 23-year-old San Bernardino resident struck him.
 
Giron succumbed to his fatal injuries due to the crash.
 
The driver was not hurt and did not appear to be under the influence or speeding, according to a news release.
 
Giron may have been intoxicated, the release stated, yet that was still under investigation.
