John Benson Atcheson Dies in San Diego Two-Vehicle Collision

 
SAN DIEGO, CA (January 10, 2020) — 71-year-old John Benson Atcheson of San Diego died in a two-vehicle collision Monday night in Rancho Bernardo.
 
According to the San Diego police, Atcheson was driving a 2018 Chevrolet Bolt on Meandro Drive at around 6:20 p.m. At the same time, a 23-year-old woman was driving a 2001 Toyota Tacoma eastbound on Rancho Bernardo Road.
 
When Atcheson turned from Meandro Drive onto Rancho Bernardo Road, the driver of the Toyota was unable to stop and collided with the Chevy.
 
The paramedics rendered aid to Atcheson. However, he died in an ambulance on the way to Palomar Medical Center.
 
Meanwhile, emergency personnel took the Toyota driver to a hospital with a broken collarbone and a broken tailbone.
