18-Year-Old Jacob Titus Hospitalized after Big Rig Crash on Highway 99

 
BUTTE COUNTY, CA (January 5, 2020) – Authorities identified 18-year-old Jacob Titus as the victim injured in a T-bone crash on Highway 99, Sunday morning.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened at about 7:00 AM. A green Subaru Outback, driven by Jacob, was traveling westbound on Evans Reimer Road approaching Highway 99. When the vehicle reached the intersection, a big rig broadsided Jacob.
 
The victim’s father, Jesse Titus, said that his son suffered multiple fractures, a collapsed lung, and a severe finger injury. As per reports, Jacob has already undergone heart surgery and multiple brain surgeries.

Investigators believe that fog played a role in the collision. Authorities will release additional information once it becomes available.
