Woman Fatally Struck by a Vehicle on East Avenue

 
TURLOCK, CA (January 13, 2020) — A 78-year-old woman was struck and killed by a vehicle on East Avenue at about 6 p.m. on Wednesday, January 8.
 
According to the Turlock Police Department, the woman walked down East Avenue when a vehicle hit her near North Rose Street.
 
Despite medical help from bystanders and emergency personnel, police said that the woman died at the scene of the collision.
 
The police department reported that the driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.
 
Investigators do not believe alcohol or drugs contributed to the fatal crash, according to police.
