Pedestrian Struck and Killed by Vehicle on El Camino Real
SUNNYVALE, CA (January 10, 2020) – A pedestrian was struck and killed by a car on El Camino Real in Sunnyvale on Tuesday, January 7.
According to the city’s Department of Public Safety, the man was walking in the intersection of El Camino Real and Helen Avenue. Then a car struck him at about 6:15 a.m., police said.
First responders rushed him to a hospital where he succumbed to his fatal injuries. The driver of the vehicle cooperated with investigators. Officers do not suspect impairment as a factor in the incident.
Santa Clara County medical examiner’s office has not yet released the man’s identity pending notification of his loved ones.
